Malvar, Philippines – July 17, 2024 – The Gender and Development Seminar 2024, held at Malvar Senior High School, brought together teachers from various disciplines to engage in meaningful discussions and activities aimed at promoting gender equality and development. The seminar commenced with opening remarks by Dr. Catherine Gonzales, the esteemed School Principal 2, who set the tone for the day’s activities with an inspiring speech on the importance of gender and development in education.

Atty. Fe De Villa delivered an insightful presentation on the Safe Spaces Act, emphasizing the importance of creating safe and inclusive environments for all.
Atty. Karen M. Bacilles discussed the Women in Development and Nation Building Act (RA 7192), highlighting the critical role of women in national development.
Dr. Delia Tagle, a Municipal Councilor, captivated the audience with her talk on Women and Health. She provided a comprehensive understanding of women’s health, emotions, and genetics, and addressed various reproductive health concerns raised by the teachers.
