Malvar SHS kickstarts intrams after pandemic

After almost three years of being halted due to the effects of COVID-19, Intramurals were again hosted in Malvar Senior High School, Jan. 21. The activity aimed to instill discipline, camaraderie, and sportsmanship among students. During the opening program, Mr. Jay Aala, the School's Sports Coordinator, welcomed athletes and coaches and gave them a brief introduction and overview of the activities that would take place. After the opening remarks, Mr. Ronald Reano, acting OIC, reminded students that besides athletic skills, it is their behavior that will make them outstanding. "Disiplina ang una sa lahat. Ito ang pangunahing inaasahan sa lahat ng mga manlalaro," he said. After these messages, Mr. Dennis Castillo, one of the Physical Education teachers, briefed athletes regarding the flow of activities and informed them about the playing venues.

This year's intramurals included the following sports events: basketball, volleyball, sepak takraw, football, futsal, chess, badminton, table tennis, billiards, athletics, archery, swimming, taekwondo, and dance sports.
